Overview – 1 hour workshop

This introductory skill-building session guides participants through UCOPEA — an easy to understand 6 step model for those who have a specific challenge in their lives, are dealing with change, or just wanting to master the art of “coping.” Many people find it difficult to deal with increasing physical, emotional and financial demands at work and home. Learning the importance of building resilience for long-term mental wellbeing, and some techniques for managing unhelpful thoughts, can make a difference in how you navigate the natural ups and downs of everyday life.

Overview – 3 hour workshop

The 3 hour workshop goes into greater depth, exploring each of the 6 steps of the UCOPEA model in more detail and explains the importance of coping with change. There are also opportunities to apply the practical skills from UCOPEA in coaching or mentoring relationships as participants are challenged to work through some complex scenarios in individual and group exercises. The session finishes with the completion of individual action plans to help participants make practical adjustments in their lives.
